Sometimes the casting into the resin creates exciting and unexpected color gradients or bubbles that make each piece special.
For my jewelry I use high-quality epoxy resin, which does not get yellow after a short time like other resins. In the future I would like to switch to bio-based synthetic resin as soon as I can generate enough sales, as it is unfortunately still very, very expensive.
I've been working for a long time on how I can breathe new life into my old, dusty CDs and DVDs and use their shimmering colors to create unique pieces of jewelry. Finally I discovered epoxy resin. I really enjoy combining the CD and DVD splitters - some with their own individual signs of wear or imprints - with various glitter or copper elements.
