HELLO.
I'm Franzi

I'm actually a professionally trained teacher of English and maths and I used to work at a German high school in Berlin for a couple of years. I've always been very passionate about illustrating and artsy handicrafting and started tattooing in 2019. It took me some time to develop confidence to say 'hey, my art is worth it and there's nothing else I want to do or need to do right now!' Taking the smallest idea of what people have in mind, developing designs with a little bit of me in it and making them smile - that's what's making me happy. So I quit my job as a teacher in 2023 and became fully self-employed as a tattoo artist.
I feel blessed for everyone providing their body as my canvas, for trusting and appreciating. I'm thankful for my family and friends who always encourage me and support my decisions allowing me to develop confidence, skills and styles for my new business. ♥
My art work is characterized by fine structures and geometric shapes, but also naturalistic elements such as plants and animals. Over the years I specialized in fine line tattoos, geometric shapes, realistic designs, fine lettering as well as cover ups. For most of my designs I use pepper shading techniques, dotwork or engraving styles.
STUDIO
Why fraufranzmann?

professional tattoo art & individual designs
Based on your wishes I create an individual and exclusive design for you. Together we work out style, shape, size and placement which perfectly hamonizes with your body. I will always reflect on the feasibility of your wishes and present alternatives if necessary. All tattoos are created respecting the copyright of other artists.
When tattooing I work with utmost precision and professionality in compliance with hygiene standards and without injuring the affected part of the body more than necessary.
Beratung & Unterstützung
I inform you about the health risks of a tattoo, the essential steps of the intervention, about tattoo care and provide advice throughout the healing process.
I listen to your wishes but I also tell you when they are not realisable or too risky. On the other hand if you happen to feel treated unfairly or if you're unhappy with the design, the fresh or healed tattoo (and the mistake is on my side), I will always try to find a compromise or offer of compensation.
vegan products & sustainability
For the selection of working materials and equipment I pay attention to high quality and vegan products. I use vegan tattoo inks, creams and hygiene products. Please note that I can't guarantee a 100 % vegan session as some of medical products without vegan alternatives.
I further pay attention on the ecological footprint of my studio. I'm always looking out for alternatives to conventional environmentally harmful consumables on the tattoo market, for example biodegradable protective films, needles, cups or razors. Despite that we've got to keep in mind that tattoo sessions still produce lots of waste due to hygiene standards and any waste generated during a session is potentially contaminated and must be disposed for incineration. Also not all bio-based plastics are actually degradable or even recycable, and rainforest is being cleared in Brazil for the corn used for bioplastics... Nevertheless I do what I can to keep waste to a minimum without violating the hygiene regulations and reflect on the origin of the materials whenever it's possible..
awareness, privacy & feel-good atmosphere
I only accept bookings that are ethically, morally justifiable and politically correct. I reject requests for motives that discriminate against minorities, are racist or anti-democratic. My studio is open to all people regardless of their origin and it's a safe place for people of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I treat you as my customer with respect, sensitivity and empathy. I set highest value to make you feel comfortable throughout your tattoo experience.
Privacy throughout the treatment is one of my priorities. In my studio customers are never tattooed at the same time.
